TcpListener on linux

i am building some kind o server, and i'm using TcpListener.
it works fine on win, but when i try to run it on ubuntu linux, i get:

SocketException: System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: Access denied
in <0x000dd> System.Net.Sockets.Socket:Bind (System.Net.EndPoint local_end)
in <0x00023> System.Net.Sockets.TcpListener:Start ()
in <0x0004a> PortsConnector.Connector:WaitConnections ()

now the question, do i have to make some special configurations so my program could start listening on the desired port(or ip)?

it's the same code compiled in c# 2005 express. i made all necessary modification so id could run on mono. on win it works but on ubuntu no...

Did you check firewall-settings?
What about the used port?

ran across the same problem today . . . compiling and running at the bash prompt (mcs filename.cs, then mono filename.exe)

went to superuser and cleared it up.

Convert to Cash via AlertPay/Card
